An extraordinary General Assembly of the Digital Africa Association, convened by the Association’s Board, was held on 7 May 2021.
As the Director General of the AFD Rémy RIOUX indicated in his speech to the Board on 20 April, the members of the association confirmed the importance of the development of African tech and its significant contribution to the economic development of the continent, and expressed the wish that the Digital Africa initiative continues to work for the women and men entrepreneurs of this ecosystem.
The General Assembly therefore decided to open a transitional period of 3 to 5 months to reform the association and elected a new Board.
This new Board, chaired by AFD, was mandated during this transitional period to engage in a consultation process with the members and partners of Digital Africa, with a view to proposing a roadmap that will be debated at the next GA.
Finally, the General Assembly called for the projects undertaken to be continued in the coming months.
