We propel
African startups.

Digital Africa, a subsidiary of Proparco (AFD Group), promotes the development of tech in Africa. We invest directly in innovative startups, focusing our efforts on ecosystems underserved by traditional investors.

Our ambition is to give African entrepreneurs the means to deploy innovative solutions on a large scale, capable of meeting the concrete needs of populations and impacting the real economy.

But our commitment goes further

01.

Ecosystem acceleration::

We support support structures to maximize their impact and enable the emergence of local champions.

02.

Startup acceleration:

We prepare tomorrow's leaders by training them in key digital professions.

Our values

Entrepreneurs are our heroes, our raison d'être. Our obsession, their success.

Our ambition, our impact :

especially with entrepreneurs. We're determined to help them succeed in complex environments. But beyond their entrepreneurial adventure, we are committed to having a positive impact on local populations by promoting the emergence of local solutions to major problems, facilitating access to essential goods and services, creating jobs, and acting positively on the climate and biodiversity.

We want to team up with entrepreneurs.

That's why we make sure we're agile, responsive and careful with contractors' time. We are accessible. Each entrepreneur who joins the Digital Africa family is supported by a team of two, consisting of an investor and a support consultant. Our offer will always be tailored to the needs and wishes expressed by the founders.

We're open and inclusive

we want to be an investor in minorities or profiles that might feel excluded. We're thinking in particular of female entrepreneurs, first-time entrepreneurs, young people, rural entrepreneurs, and so on. We're convinced that talent knows no such barriers, and that the first institutional investor can have a major impact in helping other profiles to emerge.

We see ourselves as pioneers.

We're not afraid to be the first, whether it's to be the first investor in a start-up or in an emerging ecosystem.

Our values

At Digital Africa, every action has a single objective:
propel African startups to the heart of the continent's economic and social transformation.
