Africa Next is a service for Investment Funds and accelerators on the African continent:

  • To promote African companies with high potential among African, European and international investors,
  • To accelerate their fundraising, expand co-investments, benefit from the experience of investors in other markets.

Africa Next is a joint initiative of Digital Africa and BPIFrance, launched in July 2020.

The Africa Next Community is a service for investors and innovators. Its objective is to help the African business and technology ecosystem to develop and become a global reference.” according to Stéphan-Éloïse GRAS, Executive Director of Digital Africa.

 

A community bringing together investors, accelerators and innovators

Members of the Africa Next community are selected exclusively by cooptation. Africa Next allows them to showcase the best startups from their portfolio to African, European and international investors and to benefit from this exclusive deal flow to identify investment opportunities.

Africa Next’s founding members are: AfricInvest, Greentec, Knife Capital, Partech Africa, EchoVC, Sawari Ventures, Lateral Capital, Seedstars, Flat6labs, 22OnSloane.

 

Organization and services to support the growth and expansion of African startups

Animation of the Africa Next digital community

The start-ups proposed by Members join the “Africa Next” digital community on EuroQuity, the networking platform for companies and development partners, in particular investors, operated by BPIFrance. Africa Next companies and community members benefit from Digital Africa’s animation and promotion programs.

 

Online pitches

Startups proposed by Members showcase their solution to international investors and other members during e-pitch sessions. Organized several times a year, these sessions have modalities that evolve according to the needs identified by the community.

For the first 2020 sessions, the e-pitches target companies with high development potential in several countries of the African continent and internationally, and with a fundraising in progress between 1 and 10 million euros.
